American caught stealing guard’s handheld radio
An American was arrested on Saturday after he was accused of stealing a handheld radio from the security guard of a posh condominium in Parañaque City.
Brad Allen Cassity, 51, a tenant of Avida Towers on A. Santos Avenue in Barangay (village) San Dionisio, was turned over to the police for reportedly pocketing a two-way radio worth P17,000.
Senior Police Officer 1 Christopher Bilangel of the Parañaque City Police station investigation and detective management said that the alleged theft happened around 3 a.m. on Saturday at the parking lot of the condominium where the tenants had just hosted a party.
As one of the building’s security guards, Novel Cempron went about putting away the chairs used for the party, and set down his handheld radio.
Cassity, however, took the equipment and placed it in the compartment of his motorcycle, which was parked nearby.
