BMEG battles Mandaue today

/ 07:41 AM June 02, 2011

TWO-TIME PBA MVP James Yap and the rest of the BMEG Derby Ace Llamados will bring their skills over to the Mandaue City Cultural and Sports Complex today to test the mettle of the Liga Pilipinas 2nd leg champions Mandaue-Cebu Landmasters in an exhibition game set at 6 pm.

The Llamados are using the match to hone their skills for the upcoming PBA Governor’s Cup. At the forefront is crowd-darling Yap, who is expected to thrill fans with his exploits that earned him the moniker “The Man with the Million Moves.” Also set to make a homecoming is guard Roger Yap, who used to play for the University of San Jose-Recoletos.

In light of the near-brawl that occurred in their last game against the Air21 Express, Mandaue head coach Jun Tan has cautioned his players to exercise caution and restraint so as to promote sportsmanship, both on and off the floor. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
