Isabela farmer slays mother with ax

CORDON, Isabela –– A 67-year-old housekeeper was killed with an ax by her 42-year-old son at 12:15 a.m. on Saturday (June 29), police said.

Juanita Innit was attacked by Tony, a farmer, who was drunk when he confronted her about a family problem in Barangay Wigan, said Police Captain Frances Littaua, Isabela police spokesperson.

Innit was declared dead on arrival at the Javonillo Hospital. Police said Tony may have been angry over a property dispute.
