MANILA, Philippines — Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri and Senator Panfilo Lacson recorded a perfect attendance during the entire 17th Congress.
In a statement on Friday, the Senate said the three senators attended all 229 plenary session days in the 17th Congress.
Sotto, who has recorded zero absence since he took office in 2010, was the only senator with a perfect attendance in the 15th and 16th Congresses, with a combined total of 657 attended session days, including the just-concluded 17th Congress.
Meanwhile, graduating Senator Gregorio Honasan missed only one session day due to an official mission.
Opposition Senator Risa Hontiveros recorded the third highest number of attendance as she was present 224 times.
Senate Minority Leader Franklin M. Drilon, and Senators Joel Villanueva and Nancy Binay were marked present 223 times.
Attendance of other senators in the third regular session of the 17th Congress are as follows:
- Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III – 222 session days.
- Senator Win Gatchalian was recorded present 216 times while Sen. Cynthia Villar attended 215 session days.
- Senator Richard Gordon – 213 session days
- Senator Grace Poe 211 plenary session days
- Senator Loren Legarda – 208 session
- Senator Francis Escudero – 207 session days.
- Senator JV Ejercito – 207 session days
- Senator Sonny Angara – 205 session days.
- Senator Bam Aquino – 202 plenary
- Senator Manny Pacquiao – 197 session days
- Senator Francis Pangilinan – 196 session days
- Senator Antonio Trillanes IV – 181 session days.
