A police officer replied, “So are you telling me that you committed an armed burglary?”

“Yes, I am, but he wasn’t going to turn them in, so I am doing it,” the 32-year-old was quoted as saying. The husband, Joseph, was jailed for previously attempting to run her over with a car.

Police contacted her husband, who was still imprisoned, and learned that he wanted to press charges against his wife for breaking into his apartment and stealing his weapons.

Authorities confirmed the wife had never stayed in her husband’s residence until she had taken the guns, as per report. The married couple was also in the process of getting a divorce and the wife had requested for a temporary restraining order against her husband.

Irby was charged with armed burglary of a dwelling and grand theft of a firearm. Ryan Arcadio/JB
