MANILA, Philippines — The Makati City Police seized on Thursday 73 sachets of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) concealed inside 28 packs of noodles from three drug suspects.

An initial police report said the suspects Rogelio Pagulayan, Marcelo Gonzales, and Vanesa Claudio were arrested in a buy-bust operation at around 1:30 p.m. in front of the Makati City Jail along Lawton Avenue in Barangay Northside.

Police said the arrest was made after their poseur buyer handed the suspects P1,000 in exchange of “shabu” hidden in packs of noodles.

Police also said Claudio was previously charged for allegedly manufacturing illegal drugs before her latest arrest.

Police have yet to release information on the value of the confiscated illegal drugs as of this posting.

The suspects will face criminal charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Editor: Jonathan P. Vicente)
