MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) has appointed senior police officials to key positions in the Western Visayas Police Regional Office (PRO 6) and at its headquarters in Camp Crame in Quezon City.
In a statement on Wednesday, Maj. Gen. Lyndon G. Cubos, director for Personnel and Records Management, said the officials were chosen based on “merit and performance,” as well as the recommendation of the promotion and placement board.
Brig. Gen. Rene Pamuspusan, outgoing regional director of PNP-Headquarters Support Service, was appointed as PRO 6 director to replace Brig. Gen. John Bulalacao.
Brig. Gen. Jesus Cambay Jr., deputy PRO 6 director for administration, will become the new director of the PNP Headquarters Support Service.
Col. Remus Zacharias Canieso, current PRO 6 deputy regional director for operations, will be acting PRO 6 deputy regional director for administration.
The designations will be effective on June 27 (Thursday), Banac said.
