MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression Dodong has left the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) Wednesday evening, the state weather bureau said.

Dodong was last spotted 980 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes, moving northward at 35 kilometers per hour, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Though Dodong is already out of PAR, the southwest monsoon will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the western section of Luzon and Visayas on Wednesday night.

By Thursday, light to moderate with occasional heavy monsoon rains may prevail over Metro Manila, western portions of Central Luzon (Zambales, Pampanga, Bataan, Bulacan), Calabarzon (Cavite and Batangas), Mimaropa (Mindoro Provinces and Northern Palawan including Cuyo and Calamian Islands), and Western Visayas (Antique, Aklan, Capiz, Iloilo and Guimaras).

Pagasa is also currently tracking two low-pressure areas. One is inside PAR, or 370 kilometers west-northwest of Coron, Palawan. The other is 1,480 kilometers east of Mindanao.
