MANILA, Philippines — Parts of Luzon may experience moderate to heavy rains on Tuesday afternoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 1:18 p.m., moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds are expected over Tarlac, Bataan and Pampanga within the next two hours.
Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains which may persist from one to wo hours will also be experienced in San Pablo, Laguna; parts of Quezon province (Tiaong, Pagbilao, Lucena); Talisay, Batangas and San Marcelino, Zambales.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” the advisory read.
On Monday, a low-pressure area (LPA) was spotted off Aurora province. Pagasa said it is likely to intensify into a tropical depression within the next 48 hours. (Editor: Mike U. Frialde)
