MANILA, Philippines — The Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) will also be giving free rides to Filipino seafarers on Tuesday, June 25, in celebration of the International Day of Seafarers.
In a Twitter post on Monday, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) announced the seafarers could avail of free rides from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
“LIBRENG SAKAY: Bilang pagkilala sa mga kontribusyon ng mga Filipino Seafarers sa ating bansa, may handog na LIBRENG SAKAY ang @OfficialLRTA BUKAS,” the LRTA said.
The seafarers would need to present their valid Seafarer’s Identification and Record Book (SIRB) to get a free ride.

The MRT-3 earlier announced that it would be giving free rides to seafarers on Tuesday.
