MRT-3 to give free rides to Filipino seafarers on June 25

MANILA, Philippines — Filipino seafarers will be getting free rides on the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) on Tuesday, June 25, in celebration of the International Day of the Seafarer.

The MRT-3 management announced on Monday that seafarers could avail the free rides from 5:30 a.m. until train operations end at 10:30 p.m.

Seafarers need to present their Seafarer’s Identification and Record Book (SIRB) or Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) ID to the ticket booths or security guards at the stations to avail of the free ride.

“Saludo po ang DOTr MRT-3 sa mga Pilipinong marino! Ingat po sa biyahe (The DOTr and MRT-3 salute the Filipino seafarers. Save travels)!” MRT-3 said in a statement.
