MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte has promoted a longtime Department of Public Works and Highways official to assistant secretary, one of 24 new appointments.
The President named Walter Ocampo, director of the Bureau of Construction, assistant secretary, replacing Gilberto Reyes.
The President signed Ocampo’s papers and the 23 other appointments on June 18.
Mercedita Sombilla was also named the assistant director general of the National Economic and Development Authority (Neda).
Jeorge Largado was appointed commissioner representing the Visayas and Mimaropa region in the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples.
The other appointments were: Jehan-Jehan Lepail as deputy executive director IV of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF); Jeffrey Manalo as director IV of the Neda’s Public-Private Partnership Center of the Philippines;
Lilian Salonga and Marievic Bonoan as director IV of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI); Anna Liza Bonagua as director IV of the Department of the Interior and Local Government; Yusoph Abbas Jr. as director IV of the NCMF;
Lenny Joy Rivera and Rodolfo Albornoz as director III of the health department; Carlota Madriaga as director III of the agriculture department; Nilo Geroche as director of the energy department;
Janice Dimayacyac, Ermedio Abang and Maria Elena Arbon as director III of the DTI; Menilba Nicolas and Jeany Tedera as director II of the Department of Finance’s Bureau of Local Government Finance; Rodrigo Rivamonte as director I of the Bureau of Internal Revenue;
Angelito Calderon as member representing the labor sector of the National Tripartite Industrial Peace Council under the Department of Labor and Employment; Corazon Cruz as member of the Professional Regulatory Board of Environmental Planning;
Julieta Tadiosa and Winston Singuin as provincial trade and industry officer under the DTI and Estreluna Ante as provincial agrarian reform program officer II.
