10-wheel truck with P2M in goods stolen in Samar town
ORMOC CITY—Police are on the hunt for suspects who, on Saturday (June 22), stole an entire 10-wheel truck on a major highway at the village of Jia-an, Jiabong town in Samar province.
Capt. Bobby Montano, chief of the Jiabong police, said the truck was carrying P2 million in goods and was headed to this city when an Isuzu pick-up blocked its path.
At least three men brandishing guns emerged from the pickup and, at gunpoint, ordered the driver, Jed Villcarlos and helper, John Delos Reyes, out of the truck. Two of the gunmen took over the truck and sped off toward Tacloban City. (Editor: Tony Bergonia)
