DID YOU KNOW: Metro Manila accounts for 22% or 88 of leptospirosis cases

According to the Department of Health, Metro Manila accounted for 22 percent or 88 of the 406 leptospirosis cases reported nationwide from January to April 2019. The region posted the highest number of cases followed by Bicol Region which had 77 cases or 19 percent. Western Visayas ranked third with 14 percent or 56 cases. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
