Man nabbed for selling shabu in North Cotabato

COTABATO CITY – Police arrested on Wednesday a man for peddling illegal drugs during an anti-drug operation in Matalam town, North Cotabato, police said.

Police Major Joseph Brian Placer, chief of Matalam police office, identified the suspect as John Baring Ferolin, 42, a resident of Barangay Lower Katingawan, Midsayap, North Cotabato.

Placer said Ferolin was placed under surveillance before the 2:30 p.m. drug buy-bust inside a restaurant at the Matalam public market.

Police arrested him after he handed over a sachet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer. Also seized from him were shabu paraphernalia, police said.

He is now detained at the Matalam detention facility while charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 are being prepared against him. (Editor: Leti Boniol)
