MANILA, Philippines – A 4.5 magnitude earthquake hit Davao Oriental Saturday morning, Radyo Inquirer reported, quoting the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.
Phivolcs chief Renato Solidum said the earthquake, which struck at 8:30 a.m., was 123 kilometers east of Mati and was 69 kilometers deep.
Solidum assured residents in Davao Oriental that the quake would not trigger a tsunami.
