MANILA, Philippines – The Lacson Underpass leading to and from Quiapo Church and Plaza Miranda will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week starting June 25, 2019, Manila mayor-elect Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said on Wednesday.
Moreno said Victory Mall, private firm that manages the underpass, announced that it would open the facility round the clock.
In a press conference on Tuesday, Moreno said he wants 24 – hours, 7-days a week access to the underpass after receiving complaints from senior citizens who encountered difficulties reaching Quiapo Church.
Currently, the underpass is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
