Non-working holiday declared in 4 cities, 4 towns on Thursday, Friday
MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang has declared Thursday, June 20 and Friday, June 21, 2019 as special non-working holidays in several cities and municipalities which are celebrating founding and charter anniversaries and festivals.
Proclamation 742 declared Thursday a special non-working day in Lipa City, Batangas which is celebrating its 72nd founding anniversary.
Thursday was also declared a special non-working holiday in Dagupan City, Pangasinan and Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur for their 72nd and 50th charter anniversaries, respectively.
Proclamation 745 declared Friday a special non-working holiday in Balete, Batangas to give locals the opportunity to participate in the municipality’s founding anniversary festivities.
Based on Proclamation 746, Friday will also be a non-working holiday in Rosario, Agusan del Sur to make way for the Yagi-Yagi Festival while Proclamation 747 declared the holiday for Bayugan City’s 12th charter anniversary.
Friday will also be a special non-working day in Maasim, Sarangani and Laurel, Batangas, which will likewise celebrate their founding anniversaries.
Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea signed the proclamations, by the authority of President Rodrigo Duterte.
