MANILA, Philippines – President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed former Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) acting secretary Virginia Orogo as Undersecretary of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).
Duterte signed Orogo’s appointment paper on June 13 and was released to the media on Wednesday.

Orogo will replace DAR Undersecretary David Erro.
Orogo was appointed DSWD acting secretary in April 2018 before Duterte tapped former Philippine Army chief Rolando Bautista to head the department.

Likewise released Wednesday was the appointment paper of Aldrin Arenas Darilag as commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd).
Darilag will serve until July 2020 and will take over the seat of now CHEd chairperson J. Prospero De Vera.
The other CHEd commissioners are Lillian Lagas, Ronald Adamat and Perfecto Alibin. (Editor: Gilbert S. Gaviola)
