Motorcyle driver killed in Isabela hit-and-run

REINA MERCEDES, Isabela— A 29-year-old motorcycle driver was killed by a sports utility vehicle (SUV) that left the victim dying on the road on Saturday (June 15) at a village here.

Jefferson Lasam was on his motorcycle when he was rammed by the SUV with license plate UN 338 after Lasam tried to overtake another car, according to Police Capt. Frances Littaua, Isabela police spokesperson.

The SUV zoomed past the dying Lasam and went north. Lasam was declared dead at the Isabela United Doctors Medical Center. VILLAMOR VISAYA JR. (Editor: Tony Bergonia)
