MANILA, Philippines — Expect heavy rain over Metro Manila and some parts of Luzon Thursday afternoon.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued a thunderstorm advisory at 2:27 p.m. and said heavy rain with lightning and strong winds may be expected over Metro Manila, Tarlac, Zambales, Pampanga, Laguna, and Batangas within the next two hours.
Meanwhile, Pagasa also said, similar weather condition being experienced in Doña Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan; Cardona, Rizal; as well as some parts of Quezon province, namely, General Nakar, Mauban, Lucban, and Sampaloc may persist within one to two hours.
Further, the state weather bureau advised nearby areas to prepare for heavy rainfall.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” Pagasa said. (Editor: Katherine G. Adraneda)
