CHICAGO – Five people, including three children, have been found shot to death in the small town of Emington, Illinois, local media reported Saturday.
The bodies of a woman, a girl and a baby were found in the backyard of a home Friday while a man and a boy were found nearby, NBC television reported.
Officials said all five had been shot.
According to The Chicago Tribune, the family moved into the small house near the town’s park late in the summer and had kept to themselves.
“They didn’t seem to want to neighbor,” the paper quotes Darlene Lithgow, a neighbor, as saying. “The kids were nice. They would come by and talk to me.”
