LUCENA CITY — Police arrested two suspected drug pushers in a buy-bust operation inside a hotel in the outskirts of this city shortly before midnight Tuesday.

Anti-illegal drugs operatives, led by Capt. Christopher Geronimo, collared Karen Gicana, 35, and Calvin Renz Vegamora, 25, after they sold shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover police officer inside one of the rooms of the Greenview Hotel in Barangay Ilayang Iyam at 11:45 p.m., a report from the Quezon police headquarters, said Wednesday.

The suspects yielded six plastic sachets of shabu weighing 13.6 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P25,160.

The seized illegal drugs are worth ₱75,480 in the street market at the prevailing price of P5,550 per grams. (Editor: Leti Boniol)
