Village chief nabbed for unlicensed guns

LEGAZPI CITY—Police arrested a village chief in the town of Pandan in Catanduanes province for possession of unlicensed guns and ammunition.

Police Maj. Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol regional police spokesperson, said police swooped down on the house of Oriel Candelaria, village chief of San Roque in Pandan, to serve a search warrant.

Found in the house were three unlicensed .45 caliber pistols, magazines and bullets. MAR S. ARGUELLES (Editor: Tony Bergonia)
