Fire destroys 9 houses in QC
MANILA, Philippines – Nine houses were gutted in a fire that struck Barangay Silangan in Quezon City on Saturday morning.
An initial report from the Batasan police station showed that the fire started at the house of a certain Marta Vergo along Road 2 Corner Magsaysay Street at 10:21 a.m.
After more than 10 minutes, the blaze reached the second alarm. It was declared under control by the Bureau of Fire at 10:59 a.m.

The fire was extinguished at 11:05 a.m.
As of posting, arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of fire as well as the amount of damage it had caused. (Editor: Mike Frialde)
