Man killed in Abra gun attack
BAGUIO CITY –– An unidentified gunman killed a 28-year-old man in front of a water refilling station in Bangued, Abra on Thursday night, police said.
Investigators said the victim, identified as Kelvin Bandayrel, was sitting in front of the water refilling station in Barangay Zone 5, where he worked when the assailant approached him about 8 p.m.
The gunman then shot Bandayrel three times before escaping, police said.
Bandayrel was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Three empty shells of a handgun were recovered from the crime scene.
The police were still investigating the incident to identify the assailant and the motive behind the attack. Valerie Damian (Editor: Leti Boniol)
