MANILA, Philippines —The Makati police seized about P1.2-million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) from an 18-year-old drug suspect following a raid of a suspected illegal gambling den in Makati.
The arrested suspect was identified as Anthony Ordoñez. Six of his cohorts were also rounded up in Barangay Rizal at around 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
Police responded to the tip-off of a concerned citizen about a gambling den operating in their area. During the raid, the suspects were caught in the act of playing cara y cruz.
A body search was also conducted, leading to the recovery of suspected “shabu” weighing around 165 grams from Ordoñez.
The other suspects were identified as Regie Baradia, Ceferino Fulgar Jr., Khin William Santiago, Quilben Jakiri Pacheco, Arris Vic Magarzo, and Jonathan Dionisio.
Police also seized from the suspects P380 bet money, and the three one peso coins being used as toss coins.
