Tornado sweeps through Negros Occidental town

BACOLOD CITY–Three houses were destroyed while 16 others were damaged when a tornado ripped through three barangays in San Enrique town, Negros Occidental on Sunday.

No one was injured, said Elenita Amen, Municipal Risk Reduction Management officer.

The San Enrique municipal government has provided assistance to residents whose houses were destroyed or damaged by the tornado, which was reportedly accompanied by hail or small pieces of ice.
