IN preparation for its 20th anniversary celebration next year, Able Services Inc. and its holding company Evo Ventures Inc. conducted a tree planting activity in barangay Bahay, Sibonga town, southern Cebu.

Able management and staff headed by president and chief executive officer Edwin Ortiz went to the mountain barangay of Bahay and planted 1,000 mahogany seedlings as part of their corporate social responsibility and environmental consciousness drive.

With the theme “Go green, live green, save the environment, save the world,” Ortiz said. “We can show to everyone how we can contribute in nurturing Mother Earth in our own little way which has always been my advocacy when I started Able Services,” he said.

“We started this advocacy 10 years ago when we planted some 10,000 mahogany and gmelina trees in this area. The trees are now fully grown and giving shade to everyone in the area,” Ortiz added.
