MANILA, Philippines — Five suspects were taken under police custody for alleged possession of shabu (crystal meth) valued at P18,100 in Makati City on Monday night.
One of the drug suspects was included in the drugs watchlist of Barangay West Rembo.
The team of Police Lt. Jeson Vigilla, of Makati police station’s Drug Enforcement Unit, arrested Jose Bustamante, 52, at the Teacher’s Compound in Barangay West Rembo at 10 p.m.
Seized from Bustamante were 12 pieces of sachet containing reported shabu worth P5,500.
Meanwhile, lawmen arrested Jericho Arriola, 33, after allegedly selling P500 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer at No. 69 Teacher’s Compound, Barangay West Rembo at 9:20 p.m.
Seized from Arriola were 27 pieces of shabu packets; a wallet and P720 worth of cash.
Lastly, law enforcers nabbed Joedel Ortega, 31; Juanito Rosario, 32; Kenny Yongco, 27; in Blk 4 Ext., Teacher’s Compound in Barangay West Rembo at 10:40 p.m.
Confiscated from the suspects were 42 pieces of sachet packets containing shabu valued at P12,600, wallet, cellphone and cash worth P720.
The suspects were taken to Makati police station while charges for Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them. (Editor: Jonathan P. Vicente)
