Prince Harry and Meghan Markle honored the LGBTQ+ community on Pride Month through their Instagram account.
The Sussexes continue their tradition of highlighting an advocacy each month by promoting Instagram accounts that forward certain causes.
For June, their Instagram @sussexroyal featured a collage of pictures from Instagram accounts that support the LGBTQ+ community.
The caption reads: “This month we pay tribute to the accounts supporting the LGBTQ+ community — those young and old, their families and friends, accounts that reflect on the past and are hopeful for a deservedly more inclusive future.
“We stand with you and support you. Because it’s very simple: love is love.”
The 11 accounts are also on the couple’s follow list for the month. These include The Trevor Project, an American non-profit for suicide prevention; UK charity Stonewall, which fights for LGBTQ rights; and the Elton John AIDS Foundation, which supports people with HIV.
One of the pictures in the collage featured Princess Diana with HIV patient Gerard McGrath at the AIDS hospice London Lighthouse back in the 1990s.
