LUCENA CITY – Anti-illegal drugs operatives arrested three suspected drug pushers, including an alleged number one supplier of “shabu” (crystal meth) in Quezon province, where an estimated P1.6-million worth of shabu were seized in a buy-bust operation here early Sunday, police said.

Authorities collared Alexander Lamping, 22; Roxan Arguilles, 19; and Ilias Sultan, 23, in a drug sting inside a hotel in Barangay (village) Isabang at about 4:30 a.m., Captain Christopher Geronimo, chief of Quezon police drug enforcement unit, said in a report.

Authorities seized four plastic sachets containing 300 grams of shabu with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P555,000.

The confiscated shabu was worth P1,650,000 in the street market at the prevailing price of P5,500 per gram.

Police tagged Lamping, a native of Wao town in Lanao del Sur province, as the alleged top supplier of shabu in the province and has been included in Quezon police “priority target list.”

Arguilles and Sultan were listed as newly identified drug personalities. Geronimo said the arrest of Lamping will create a dramatic reduction of shabu supply in the province. (Editor: Jonathan P. Vicente)
