MANILA, Philippines — A 6.2 -magnitude earthquake struck Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental on Friday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The quake’s epicenter was at 92 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso at 6:12 p.m.
Phivolcs said that the quake was of tectonic origin and had a 76-kilometer depth of focus.
The temblor was recorded the following various intensities:

Intensity II – Bislig City
Instrumental intensities
Intensity IV – Alabel and Kiamba, Sarangani
Intensity III – Kidapawan City
Intensity I – Cagayan de Oro City; Bislig City
Residents are advised to expect aftershocks, Phivolcs said.
