Worker found dead in Leyte creek

ORMOC CITY —- A laborer was found dead in a creek in Barangay San Antonio, Alangalang town, Leyte on Friday, May 31.

Igmedio Baldesco Jr., 48, was identified through his friends, said Police Capt. Ambrocio Demain, chief of the Alangalang Police Station.

Investigation showed that the victim attended the fiesta celebration in Barangay Modboron on Thursday.

A neighbor of Baldesco told police that the victim appeared to be drunk while walking on the street.

Demain believed the victim fell down a creek and hit his head with a concrete object which caused his death. Manila-Negros Occidental route. (Editor: Leti Z. Boniol)
