DID YOU KNOW: Leptospirosis cases in Metro Manila

According to the Department of Health, Metro Manila accounted for 21 percent or 74 of the 354 leptospirosis cases reported nationwide from January to March 2019. The region posted the second highest number of cases after Bicol Region which had 76 cases. Western Visayas ranked third with 14 percent or 49 cases. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
