7 dead in anti-drug operations in Laguna
SAN PEDRO CITY — Seven suspected drug pushers were killed in a series of police operations in Laguna province from Tuesday to Thursday, reports from the provincial and regional police offices said.
In Biñan City, Bryan Kenneth Dabalos died in a shootout with policemen at 2 a.m. Thursday in Barangay San Antonio.
In the same city, at midnight, Arvin Pariñas was killed after he resisted arrest in Barangay Canlalay.
Police found in his possession a 9mm pistol and 10 sachets of “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P20,400.
In San Pablo City, Teodoro Melo died in a shootout in Barangay Sta. Monica past midnight.
In Cabuyao City, Gerbert Verde drew and fired a .38-caliber gun during a drug bust in Barangay Gulod, prompting policemen to shoot him.
