SAN PEDRO CITY — Three suspected drug pushers were killed in a series of police operations in Laguna province, reports from the Calabarzon police headquarters said.
In Barangay San Antonio in Biñan City, Bryan Kenneth Dabalos was killed after allegedly putting up a fight with the police in a buy-bust operation around 2 a.m. Thursday.
The police said they recovered from Dabalos a .38-caliber gun and 11 sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth).
About two hours earlier, another suspected drug pusher was killed after resisting arrest in Barangay Canlalay.
Police found in the possession of slain Arvin Pariñas a .9-mm pistol and 10 sachets of alleged shabu worth P20,400.
In San Pablo City, Teodoro Melo died in a shootout in Barangay Sta. Monica past midnight Thursday.
Police said Melo drew and fired his gun when he realized he was dealing with the police. Melo died while being taken to the Pagamutang Panlalawigan ng Laguna in the city. (Editor: Leti Boniol)
