MANILA, Philippines — The primary suspect in the killing of a female Grab driver was taken into police custody in Pasig on Wednesday night.

In an initial report, members of the Cainta Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested Paolo Largado in a follow up operation in Barangay Bagong Ilog at 11 p.m.

Police said they found a sachet of suspected shabu on Largado.

Largado was brought to the Cainta MPS facing charges for violating the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004 and the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

On Sunday, Grab driver Maria Cristina Palanca, who went missing last week, was found dead inside a condominium unit in Cainta, Rizal.

Police said Largado was the last person seen leaving the condo unit and driving off with Palanca’s car.
