MANILA, Philippines – Some P102,000 worth of shabu was seized from a jobless woman during a drug buy-bust operation in Quezon City early Wednesday morning.
Police said Jenneth Hipolito, 41, of Barangay Tandang Sora, Quezon City, was arrested along Visayas Avenue in Barangay Pasong Tamo at 12:30 a.m.
Hipolito was arrested by operatives from the Talipapa police station.
Hipolito was arrested after receiving the marked cash from Lt. Harry Basilla of the Talipapa police in exchange for shabu valued at P2,400.
Also seized by police were 21 pieces of plastic sachets containing shabu valued at P102,000, a weighing scale, a cellphone, the P200 marked cash and one motorcycle.
Charges for drug trafficking are now being readied against Hipolito, police said. (Editor: Mike U. Frialde)
