TACLOBAN CITY — A farmer was shot dead inside a public market in Motiong town in Samar on Wednesday.
Rommy Llanera, 60, of Poblacion 1 of Motiong, was inside the public market at 6:50 a.m. when a gunman shot him several times, according to police reports.
Llanera suffered bullet wounds on his body.
The suspect immediately fled after shooting the victim using a .45-caliber pistol.
Police were still conducting an investigation to identify the assailant and the motive behind the killing. (Editor: Leti Boniol)
