MANILA, Philippines – A 4.1-magnitude earthquake rocked Prieto Diaz town in Sorsogon on Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The temblor struck at 4:46 p.m. at 26 kilometers southeast of Prieto Diaz.
Phivolcs said the quake was of tectonic origin and had an 18-kilometer depth of focus.
The quake was felt at Intensity III in Prieto Diaz and Intensity II in Irosin town.
Meanwhile, the temblor was also recorded at Instrumental Intensity II in Legazpi City and Instrumental Intensity I in Roxas City.
No aftershocks and damage are expected, Phivolcs added. (Editor: Eden Estopace)
