MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4 earthquake struck the waters off Biri, Northern Samar on Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The temblor struck at 38 kilometers northeast of Biri, Northern Samar at 3:52 a.m.
Phivolcs said that the quake was of tectonic origin and had a 13-kilometer depth of focus.
No aftershocks or damages were expected, Phivolcs added. (Editor: Julie Espinosa)
