DepEd opens applications for financial aid

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Education (DepEd) has opened its Senior High School Voucher Program (SHS VP) to applicants for the incoming school year.

The DepEd said prospective recipients could apply manually from May 26 to May 31, while online applicants have until June 2.

The SHS VP provides qualified Grade 10 finishers with financial assistance of up to P22,500 to ease the cost of schooling.

Recipients can use the vouchers to enter SHS in participating private schools and local and state universities and colleges (LUCs and SUCs).

FEATURED STORIES

Students who finished Grade 10 at public schools, LUCs and SUCs are automatically qualified for the program and do not need to apply.

Those who completed Grade 10 at private schools who are Education Service Contracting (ESC) grantees are
