Car collides with bus in Isabela; 2 dead

ECHAGUE, Isabela — Two motorists were killed in a 9:45 p.m. collision between their sports utility vehicle and a bus amid torrential rains at the national road in Barangay Maligaya on Friday (May 24), police said.

Dominic Feliciano, the 44-year-old driver and his passenger, Aljon Ocampo, died on the spot when their vehicle collided with the Victory Liner bus after they overtook a tricycle, according to Police Captain Frances Littaua, Isabela police spokesperson.

Herman Gumban, the 41-year-old bus driver, surrendered to the police and will face charges of reckless imprudence resulting to double homicide. (Editor: Leti Z. Boniol)
