Both were reportedly in stable condition at the Navy Hospital in Cavite City.

Cavite police director Col. William Segun, in a report, said the pilots were on a “proficiency flight lesson” and were doing “touch and go” maneuvers when their OV 10 plane experienced an “engine failure” around 12:30 p.m. in Cavite City.

He said the aircraft went down while a guard at the runway saw the pilots being ejected.

Two civilian fishing boats rescued the pilots and brought them to the hospital.  (Editor: Leti Z. Boniol)
