MANILA, Philippines – A 29-year-old man was shot dead by several suspects while he was drinking liquor outside his home in Tondo, Manila before dawn Friday, police said.
Police Officer 2 Bernardo Cayabyab of the Crimes Against Persons Section of the Manila Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Group said that Roldan Flores was killed in front of his house along Pilar Street in Tondo at past midnight.
The suspects, identified in a police report as Ricky Mendiola, Carlito Mendiola, and Roland Inocencio, approached Flores and repeatedly shot him at around 12:25 a.m., said Cayabyab.
The three men fled right after the incident, he said.
Flores was rushed to the Ospital ng Tondo but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
He died from gunshot wounds to his face, head, lower abdomen, and back.
Authorities have yet to determine the suspects’ motive for the murder.
