MANILA, Philippines — Twenty villages in Quezon City will encounter temporary water service interruptions as Manila Water undertakes emergency leak repairs.
Manila Water said the “joint leak repair and pipe interconnection at Elliptical Road in Quezon City” came after a contractor of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) caused an “accidental breakage” which damaged the company’s major pipeline.
“Due to an accidental breakage caused by a DPWH contractor, damaging our major pipeline at Elliptical Road corner Commonwealth Avenue (northbound) in Quezon City, Manila Water is currently undertaking emergency leak repairs which will result in temporary water service interruption,” the firm said in an advisory on Thursday.
The company also expected that the repairs would be completed on Friday, May 24 at 6 a.m.
