MANILA, Philippines — Ride-hailing giant Grab Philippines announced a P50,000 reward for any information about its two drivers who disappeared after they were booked four days apart last month by the same person in Cavite province.
In a statement, Grab Philippines public affairs manager Nicka Hosaka said the company had already reached out to the families of Laurence Regis Fajardo and Manuel Alammudin for assistance.
She added that Grab was also cooperating with the Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group.
Informants were encouraged to go to the nearest police station or call Grab at 8837100.
Manila policemen said Fajardo and Alammudin disappeared between April 21 and 25 after being booked by the same person in Cavite City.
Both bookings supposedly had the same pickup and drop-off points. Grab has yet to confirm this, however.
On Monday, Fajardo’s vehicle, a Toyota Vios with plate number UKE 459, was found abandoned on Mabini Bridge in Manila.
Earlier, the police chased the car after its driver, Frankie Mark Serrano, fled after he was flagged down for a traffic violation. The suspect, however, escaped.
