MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 3.6 earthquake jolted Sipocot, Camarines Sur on Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The earthquake’s epicenter was recorded at 10 kilometers northeast of Sipocot, and was of tectonic origin.
Phivolcs said the quake struck at 12:38 p.m., and had a 6-kilometer depth of focus.
The following measured intensities have been felt in the following areas:
Intensity V – Sipocot, Camarines Sur
Intensity II – Daet, Camarines Sur
Intensity I – Guinayangan, Quezon
No aftershocks and damages were expected, Phivolcs added. (Editor: Mike U. Frialde)
