MANILA, Philippines — The proclamation of the Senate and party-list winners will finally push through on Wednesday after the Commission on Elections (Comelec) wrapped up the canvassing of votes for the May 13 midterm elections.

The Comelec, sitting as the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC), announced this after tallying all the 167 certificates of canvass (COCs) for the polls.

Proclamation of the senatorial race winners will start at 10 a.m. and winning party-list groups will be proclaimed at 7 p.m.

Each senatorial winner will be limited to an entourage of five persons.

Proclamation of the poll winners was initially set for Tuesday, but the delay in the transmission of COCs from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Washington DC in the United States prompted the poll body to change the schedule.
